I’m 5′2″ and weighed about 115 pounds when I started working out. I really wanted to fit in to my halloween costume so I’ve been working out for the past two weeks, running 30 minutes at least and doing a little weight training (which is a lot because I usually never exercise) plus eating healthy balanced meals in moderation. However, I gained 4 pounds and now weigh 119 pounds :( Am I doing something wrong here? I want to be slim and lean, not thick and muscle-y:(

Building muscles doesn’t loose weight, it burns fat then adds more weight (in muscles) to your body. The human body is designed to walk. Walk longer (don’t run) and eat healthy.

You are goining more weight through muscle than fat. You are gaining mscle slightly faster than you are losing fat so you are doing great.

Body builders are like 200-400 lbs just cuz they are tough!
